Other Supported Devices

Other than devices listed on the Golem Arcana website if people could list devices that support/ running the Golem Arcana App.

My tablet is a Chuwi VX8 and runs the App no problem.

I'm using my 1st gen Nexus 7 (2012) with Cyanogen Mod 11. Works great and you can cast the screen to your TV using Chromecast!

There is another list of compatible devices over at BoardGameGeek: http://www.boardgamegeek.com/thread/1233698/supported-devices-list-what-are-you-using

Works without problems so far on a

Sony Xperia Tablet Z2

(exact model SGP512, but pretty sure the other variants as well, as they only differ in memory, LTE, etc.)

For everyone's benefit I'll just post what I did here.

Warning! This will wipe everything off your phone! So backup your music, contacts, movies, etc.
I've never had an issue rooting multiple devices this way but I don't take any responsibility to what happens with your device.

I used this tool:http://www.wugfresh.com/nrt/ from WUGfresh to root my device and flash a custom recovery mode. I prefer TWRP http://teamw.in/project/twrp2/103 as my recovery mode but there are plenty of other options out there. Once that is done you can install Cyanogen mod from here: http://beta.download.cyanogenmod.org/install or download the Nexus 7 ROM directly from here https://download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=grouper via the recovery mode of your newly rooted device. Once Cyanogen mod is installed, you'll have to install all of google's apps (including the Play Store) from here: http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Google_Apps

Once this is done you can install the Golem Arcana App and it should play.

If you have a Chromecast, or similar device that you want to stream your devices screen to, you'll want to unlock the 'Cast Screen' Option with Mirror Enabler here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/hardwar ... e-t2812193

I'm not going to go into the nitty gritty because there are plenty of videos/forum topics out there that cover these processes. But this was just a quick overview of what should be done.

This may also work for other Android devices that can install Cyanogen Mod 11.
A list of other CM 11 supported devices and their ROMs can be found here: http://download.cyanogenmod.org/

The Insignia 7" tablet (NS-15AT07) will start the game and pair with the stylus. The cpu is a bit underpowered and the main screen looks terrible. The tablet only has a resolution of 1024x600 and the bottom banners are interpolated badly. I would hazard a guess that the main screen was designed for 1024x768 as a minimum screen resolution.

The Insignia 8" tablet (NS-15AT08) claims to have Bluetooth 4 LE support but will not pair with the stylus.

Just purchased a new model of the Nextbook from Wallyworld (right now they are the only one that has it.)

It is the Nextbook 7, 16GB, Quad-core, 1024x600hd, 1GB DDR3 Ram, and runs Kit Kat 4.4.2 out of the box.

I loaded a BLE app to verify Bluetooth Low Energy was enabled, and then the GA app to make sure it ran. I had to scan for the TDI and reconnect in-game, but I just ran thru the entire Kickstarter #1 Tutorial without a single hiccup.

This little tablet is very fast and the new OS is really slick too...I sold a year-old version of this tablet that would not run the correct req's, so I can attest to it working as it should now.

Wallyworld has if for $100, but I got it for $79 on sale plus tax and free shipping.

Hope this helps.

Hi Spyderbyte,

Can you share the model # of the device if you can find it?

This is what is on the UPC ITEM#NX700QC16G

I cannot even find this model on the nextbook site, but I have not tried to looked under their E-Fun webiste that I heard they have too.

If you look on Wallyworld site for a 16gb quad core, I think it is the only Nextbook with that info.

I saw their is an app update, and that always scares me that changes will cause OS issues, but that is mostly because I have come from iOS stuff and Apple is always screwing with devices and people.

I also hope that their are not surprises with the other scenarios when we get thru them, but time will tell...so far so good with this device. Oh, FYI, my S3 works fine too but way too small of a display.
